Only mildly sexual? The cheek of it!
Beckham’s pants ads for H&M have been investigated by the Advertising Standards Authorities (ASA) after the governing body received a handful of complaints.
After careful scrutiny of the ads however, they were deemed ‘unlikely to cause offence’. Erm, no brainer – since when was a man in tightie-whities pornographic? Especially one as handsome as Becks (cough… *must remain neutral at all times*).
Lordy! Put em away, David!
Despite the complainants saying the ads were overtly sexual and lewd, the ASA ruled there was no explicit nudity (fair enough, there wasn’t) and – this is the bit that kills us – he was ‘mildly sexual at best’.
Only mildly sexual AT BEST? Should we be offended on his behalf?
Anyway – the plus side is that David Beckham, and his mildly sexual pants, are here to stay.
Huzzah!
Actually, maybe this one IS overtly sexual. Look away now before your innocence is lost forever!
