H&M is no stranger to collaborations but Maison Martin Margiela could possibly be the most fashiony (it’s a word) of them all.
The launch party in New York last night included the super stylish Sarah Jessica Parker, Selma Blair and Julianne Moore to name a few, all working the MMM for H&M look.
But Mena Suvari turned the most heads, wearing a rather outrageous nude and black bra-top.
No it’s not part of a stage costume that went walkabout from Madonna’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. It’s actually a piece from the new collection.
Would this work in the real world? Probably not. Will it attract lots of attention? Mais bien sur.
The rest of the range features oversized jumpers, blazers and dresses but with a difference – they are actually re-editons.
That’s right, all are original MMM designs that once featured in a previous collection.
Each H&M piece is labelled with a tag indicating the season from which it originates. That could be anything over the last 23 years – practically vintage darling.
The goods drop on November 15th but judging by collaborations gone by, you’ll have to be quick. And ready to queue. Or ready to part with your cash on eBay.
You can get your hands on the £29.99 top from November 15th, when the collection hits stores (clutch bag, £34.99. Jeans, £39.99)
