Brad Pitt is the new face of Chanel No5

It should work.

Brad Pitt + Chanel, in theory, = campaign heaven.

But is it just us or does this new perfume ad fall a little flat?

Though visually stunning, Brad seems to just…well, get in the way of the cinematic genius.

After a string of unique, powerful women including Keira Knightley, Vanessa Paradis, Audrey Tautou and Alice Dellal posing up for Mr Lagerfeld in the past, monochrome Mr Pitt comes off as somewhat lackluster.

Admittedly, it could just be the goatee.

We say bring on Angelina! Now there’s is a face we would love to see across a Chanel screen.

Maybe Ms Jolie was busy with her rainbow brood that day and sent her other half along to the shoot to replace her…
