It’s reached that point in the year where the heels you’ve been wearing all winter don’t look right any more – even once the black opaques have been consigned to the back of the drawer. But then last summer’s shoes don’t seem to work either… dilemma. The only solution is to buy more. I’ve found the key is to go back not to last summer’s styles, which all seem a bit passe now, but to plunder the archive and go back six, seven years, when stilettos and almond toes were in. They look fresher than last season’s wedges.
But… sigh… I’m sorry to say that despite the rows of shoes in my closet waiting patiently to be worn, I have found a new love interest: These Lanvin platforms. Only £690. Where is my rich benefactor when I want him?
